Houston-based three-piece Waterparks are the newest addition to Equal Vision Records’ roster and with Benji & Joel Madden guiding them along the way, they’re reckoned to be one of 2016’s biggest artists to watch in the alternative world.

Currently on tour with Never Shout Never and Metro Station, the three bring lots of color and pop punk spunk to the stage every night. Being their first full U.S. tour, they’re taking as much in as they can. Their recent release, an EP titled Cluster, features a slew of different genres, which is exactly what the band wanted. Former My Chemical Romance bassist Mikey Way also offered his talents and provided bass on the six tracks featured on the EP.

We talked with Awsten, Geoff and Otto about their new EP, musical influences, and future plans, all in the interview below. Check them out on their tour with Never Shout Never and Metro Station over the next few weeks; all remaining dates and ticket links are available here.
